I like these words, they seem to have absolute truth in them, for me. Like you, I try to live my life, every day, with this exact kind of thing always in mind. I have often linked those 3 scriptures from the D&C in this same train of thought. I usually add one more though... D&C 6:36. This is a cyclical thing for me because at times when I feel confidence it scares me that it might turn to pride and then i hurry and self sabotage to bring my self back down (before He does it for me).
