Brandon Pearce

Hello! My name is Brandon Pearce, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah with my beautiful wife Jennifer and daughters Emily and Marie. (They are so sweet!) My wife and I were married in July, 2002 in the Jordan River Temple.

I finished my Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems from the Salt Lake Community College in August, 2003. And my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Weber State University in May, 2005. I have always enjoyed computers and love to program. Lately, I have been doing a lot of web programming. You can see some of my sites at http://resume.brandags.com.

Music Teacher’s Helper is a website I made to help private music teachers to keep track of their billing and scheduling, and I’ve been spending a lot of time on that lately trying to build up the business. If you know any music teachers, send them on over!

I am also working full-time at Microfilm Service Corporation as a programmer/web application developer.

One of the great joys in my life has always been music. This love was instilled in me by my parents, both of whom are very musically talented. My father teaches choral music (and Japanese) at a high school and is currently working on his PhD in Music Education. My mother can play the piano beautifully by ear.

I also have been teaching private piano lessons for a number of years and enjoy seeing students improve their skills (though I recently stopped teaching so I could have more time to program :)). I’ve also tried my hand at composing, but don’t consider myself very good. I took an AP Music Theory class in High School, but that’s the extent of my songwriting education. In addition to piano, I also love to sing! Both of my parents also have beautiful voices, and my dad sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for a number of years.

Since 2004, I have also been the Assistant Music Director of the Oratorio Society of Utah, which has performed Handle’s Messiah in the Salt Lake valley for about 91 years. They have performed many different pieces all over the world.

One of the things that has had the biggest influence in my life is that I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Coming to know Jesus Christ and feeling his love and the peace of the Spirit in my life has helped mold me into the person I am today. I also have always loved reading the scriptures and other books written by church authors. I love this gospel!

I also got to serve in the Japan Tokyo North Mission, which was of course, wonderful.
